While visiting Glacier Montana we decided to rent a dune buggy and explore new terrain outside of the park. The place where we rented it was Glacier Ridge Runners, conveniently located in the perfect area to begin our adventure. Let me start by saying the trails and views exceeded any expectations.There was snow the higher up we got so use caution. All in all Hungry Horse National Park is a hidden gem about a 30 minute drive from West Glacier Park. If you are into Exploring and adventure this is a must!
Tips For Type 1
We were riding for about 4 hours so I packed plenty of food and water. Nothing like PB & J sandwiches, fruits and veggies on a long venture like this. I also packed Luna protein bars and string cheese just to be safe. You never know what can happen in the mountains so its better to be safe then sorry. I didn’t have a cooler but when the weather is cool enough it’s not necessary.
